Good Morning,
I am a member of the International Development Committee, a sub-committee of the Fellowship Internal Standing Committee within the International Service Organization Of SAA. As a committee, our primary purpose is to offer assistance to the groups that are a part of our international community and to serve as a link that help to carry our mesage of recovery to those groups. In addition, if an international group needs help with a particular problem we have the ability to serve as a liaison with the other elements of the International Service Organization may be able to provide needed assistance to your group.
We conduct a teleconference each month utilizing the ISO of SAA conferencing system. If you wish to participate, all you need to do is to call into the available connecting number best suited for your part of the world and use the conference code to become a part of the teleconference. We normally meet on the fourth Sunday of each month. Please understand that for the most part we use the English language in our teleconference.
If you have a particular question, issue, concern, suggestion or other input that you would like to share with us, you may also send us an email at intdev@saa-iso.org and we will do our best to work with you in assisting with your needs.
As the International Development Committee, we can best serve our international groups when we know more about your specific needs. Without your input we are limited in the amount of assistance that we are able to provide because we do not know what your needs may be without you letting us know. Your input is very important and if you are able to communicate your needs, then we are better suited to assist you.
The ISO office in Houston will also be able to provide you with some information if you wish to contact them directly.
Please take a moment and make us aware of how we may better serve the international community of our recovery organization. In May of this year, we conducted our first International Conference outside of the United States and it was a wonderful learning experience. We would like to use that experience as some momentum to further assist and involve the international community because we are truly an international organization.
Sincerely,
Richard S.
